Stewed apples build an appetite for lunch, stimulate regular bowel movements, increase vitality and alertness, and provide a light but satisfying start to the day.
1 whole fresh, sweet apple, cored and peeled
2 whole cloves
Squeeze of lemon
¼ cup of water
1 tsp (or more) Ghee
Dice apple into small pieces. Add cloves, cinnamon, apple and water in a covered pot.
Cook apple in ¼ cup of water until it is soft, add a squeeze of lemon and Ghee. Cooke for a few more minutes.
Discard the cloves, top with cinnamon and Ghee.
