I started practicing yoga in 2003. I didn't really know what yoga was when I first went into the class but I had heard many talk about how it was a great workout.
When I walked in my first class, I realized at that moment it was just about working out like running or weight lifting. To me it was about be quiet and listening to what my bodies needs through the movement. I was hooked. I have never been able to still and quiet. But as I continued my practice. I begin understand how to still the mind and what quiet really meant and what it felt.
As of June 2017, I decided it was time to become a practitioner to teach yoga. I hope to bring the same sense of balance, serenity and flow in my class.
